Night’s Away Permit Scheme – New application
When you have completed Modules 16 & 38 Nights Away training and want to apply for a Nights Away Permit:
- Start planning for camp and at least 3 months before camp
- Before applying for a Night Away Permit, contact the NA Team on the District Night Away email address nights-away@redbridgescouts.org.uk and give your name, training details and proposed date of the camp to be assessed. A member of the team will let you know whether the date is suitable and who the Assessor will be.
- Apply for a Nights Away Permit on scouts.org.uk :
- My Membership > Explore permits > Permit search > Nights Away > Apply
- The Assessor will arrange a face to face meeting with you to go through the Nights Away checklist.
- Keep planning and documenting your camp, using your training and resources from the Scouts Association Website.
Night’s Away Permit Scheme – Renewal
If you already hold a permit and wish to renew it, renew your Nights Away permit on Scouts.org.uk:
- My Membership > Explore permits > My permits > My active permits > Nights Away > Renew
Night’s Away Notification (NAN forms) – For Camps
If you are already a Night’s Away Permit Holder and are running a camp, you will need to complete a Nights Away form:
Complete a nights away form on scouts.org.uk (these must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the event):
- My Membership > Complete a nights away form
Passports Scheme – Explorers and Chief Scout award expeditions
If you are already a Night’s Away Permit Holder and are issuing an Event Passport:
Complete a nights away form on scouts.org.uk:
